Letter to the Editor: Reporting done right

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

This letter is in answer to the letter in the March 19 newspaper, “Oh, the irony.”

There is no proof Fox News knowingly perpetuated falsehoods about the 2020 election to avoid angering its viewers. That is the letter writer’s opinion. There are many unanswered questions concerning the 2020 election, such as why ballots without proper ballot numbers and ballots cast by “dead” people were tallied and why those ballots were overwhelmingly for Biden. In a “normal” election, those ballots would have been rejected.

Rupert Murdoch is anti-Trump and let his bias show through when he stated several Fox personalities lied about the 2020 election.

The trial, Dominion Voting Systems vs. Fox News is currently under way, so I’ll refrain from commenting on it until a verdict is reached.

In Arizona, Dominion voting machines were erased before state election officials could examine them concerning charges the machines were “flipping” votes. Why? What were corrupt local authorities hiding? Did Biden actually win?

As for Fox News lying to the American people, remember how CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and the other fake news outlets lied to Americans when they ran with the story of Trump and his Russian collusion, unlike Fox News? We now know there was no Trump-Russian collusion.

The fake news became virtually silent when it was revealed Hillary Clinton and the Democrats who colluded with the Russians and paid for the fake dirty dossier. It was Fox News that broke the story.

The fake news falsely reported the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation. Fox News rightly revealed the laptop and the story was real.

The fake news falsely reported what happened on Jan. 6, 2021, calling it an armed insurrection. No arms were involved and there was no insurrection, as Fox News rightly reported. The House Republicans are currently bringing to light what actually happened on Jan. 6.

Years back the fake news jumped on Richard Jewell, accusing him of being the Atlanta Bomber. Fox News refused to do so. Richard Jewell was later exonerated, much to the chagrin of the fake news networks.

There are numerous other examples of the fake news lying to mischaracterize George Zimmerman, Kyle Rittenhouse, Nicolas Sandmann, etc. It’s no wonder Fox is by far the most watched news network, while the fake news ratings are in the gutter.
