Letter to the Editor: For whom are they working?

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

It was an exhausting sixty days in West Virginia. The wonderful senators and delegates chose to take way freedoms from citizens in their home state. Women do not have the right to control their own bodies. Young people and their parents are not permitted to seek medical help because white males who all of a sudden are MDs, social workers, etc. wish to inflict their beliefs upon everyone. They do not want people to impose restrictions upon them concerning their religious rights but it is OK for them to impose their religious beliefs upon the remainder of the population.

Last week, our U.S. Representative held a money-raising event as he is intending to run for U.S. Senator, “All I want is for everyone to be free. Free to make your own choices in life… And it is stunning to see what the Left is doing in this country. It’s ridiculous that your government tells you you have to put on a face mask and what kind of medicine you have to take,” Mooney said.

I am thankful that the government told me to wear a mask and get the vaccine. Do not Mooney and Jim Jordan realize that the former president was vaccinated and said people should get them till his followers rebelled against the idea?

I have learned over the years that human beings can be led by people if they are not taught to think for themselves. I have lived through tyrants, dictators trying to inflict their ideas upon the masses which led to millions being exterminated and thousands losing their lives trying to defeat these men, (Hitler, Stalin, Putin, Mussonli, Franco, Marcos, Amin, etc.)

The people who are saying they want people to be free are very friendly with someone like Viktor Orban of Hungry who has shared his ideas when he addressed the CPAC in 2022, where he said, “I am here to tell you that our values, the nation, Christian roots, and family can be successful in the political battlefield. We made these values successful and mainstream in Hungary. Don’t worry. A Christian politician cannot be racist,” as reported by NPR.

The Poor People’s Campaign was in Charleston to ask our elected officials to look into the deaths that are occurring in the jails in West Virginia? Did any of our senators or representatives attend?

When will our elected officials start working for us?
