Letter to the Editor: God doesn’t need our help

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

Just read an interesting article about the future demise of maple syrup production because of climate change. I noticed words like, may, might, likely, can, possibly, and so on. All of these words are just guesses by those who are “nervous nellies” and obviously do not trust almighty God to take care of everything. Yes, God is good and great, but we have to help him take care of the Earth. He cannot just handle all of the details of the earth. Well, yes he can.

That does not mean we deliberately do things to damage the Earth, but some of the details like maple tree growing conditions are just too much for Him to handle. After all, He is very busy with the increasing population and all of its needs.

I cannot fathom that so many believe God is incapable of handling everything. It makes me wonder how much they really trust God, perhaps trust themselves more, because they are really smart. Well, God has always existed and always will and is omniscient. That means all-knowing. It is the politically correct confused members of society that want to think that God is not capable of doing everything. God knows what he is doing.

Climate change, as I have said many times, is a contrived problem. It is a man-made, made-up problem that only exists in the minds of those who obviously have too much time on their hands. God is in control, is sovereign, and knows exactly what He is doing. It is the climate change activists that do not know what they are doing and have difficulty functioning without trying to help God. Well, God does not need our help and does not need us. We, on the other hand, need Him. He did not create man because He was lonely. He exists, and has always existed. He does not slumber or sleep and is always attentive to us at all times.

God sought out us, sent his son Jesus Christ to come to earth to die a sacrificial death for our sins. It took a perfect sacrifice to pay for our sins. We owed a debt we could not pay because not one of us is perfect, and Jesus paid a debt He did not owe. He paid the debt for our sin once and for all at the cross.

Turn to Him today.
