Letter to the Editor: Thank you for support

We would like to commend and thank Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company for their commitment to the development and advancement of youth golf in the Mid-Ohio Valley and throughout the state.
Their involvement began in mid-90s with what was then known as the Top Flite Junior Tour. Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal was an integral part of the growth and success of this tour for nearly a decade. When the Top Flite Junior Tour became the Callaway Junior Tour in 2007, under the auspices of the West Virginia Golf Association (WVGA), the sponsorship continued.
Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company’s sponsorship has afforded the WVGA the opportunity to continue to advance the mission of the founder of the Top Flite Junior Tour, Larry Martin, to offer a competitive golf experience for all junior golfers throughout the region.
Over the last nine years of this partnership, the First Tee of West Virginia was introduced to the Mid-Ohio Valley for the first time, where green-grass programming is currently taking place at Mini Bel Golf Course and the school-based programming serves over 170 elementary schools statewide. The First Tee of West Virginia teaches character education and healthy habits for children, as well as introducing them to the game of golf.
Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company continues to be an integral part of growth and success of youth golf in West Virginia through the Callaway Junior Tour Rookie League, the Callaway Junior Tour, the Callaway Junior Tour High School Series and more. They sponsor over 30 events each year for youth golfers across West Virginia, from Vienna and Elizabeth to Charles Town and Shepherdstown, from Wheeling to White Sulphur Springs.
On behalf of the West Virginia Golf Association, we just want to thank Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company for their support of the state’s young golfers.
