Letter to the Editor: Pay your student loan debt

(Letter to the Editor - Graphic Illustration/MetroCreativeConnection)

Joe Biden, the worst president of all time, has just decided to forgive more student loan debt in the amount of $10,000, if you make less than $125,000 per year. $124,999.99 is less than $125K. If you make slightly less than $125K, you are not poor. If you cannot manage your happy life on that amount, it is NOT the government’s business to “forgive” any of it with MY TAX MONEY. You signed a “promissory note,” you pay it. What is hard to understand about that?

For those readers who think this is wonderful, have you thought where the government gets that money? From us who pay taxes! I realize there are those who pay no tax, or very little. In case you do not understand it, it is the middle class who keeps this country going.

The generations who do not want to pay their student loans are leeches on society. They do not want to keep their word and are just a bunch of gripers and whiners who want everything given to them. That is not the way the world works, at least a conservative world. The liberal world of the Pelosis, the AOCs and other losers think the government should pay everything for everyone. That is just so insane! You cannot spend your way to prosperity, but you can spend your way to bankruptcy. So many people today have a spending problem. They really have an instant gratification problem. They cannot wait or save money for anything. They want it and they want it now.

We also have a large group who do not want to work. There are people who are healthier than I, who are too lazy to get off the couch and work for a living. But, obviously they are eating regularly. I have absolutely no problem with people on some form of government assistance who honestly need it. But, those who say they cannot find a job are just liars. Drive up and down through practically any town in America and see the help wanted signs. Oh, but of course they deserve more money than they would get offered. They want to start and get paid what most of us took 30-40 years to get to a certain pay level. What a sad state America is in now. If you don’t work, you don’t eat is still a good motto.
