Consolidate schools instead of more taxes

In response to the article “Belpre BOE bringing back bond levy,” it is just asinine. Four of Washington County schools are all within a few miles of each other.

Warren just had new schools built. It would be more efficient for Fort Frye, Wolf Creek, AND Belpre to merge with Warren. The population has diminished in these schools.

Residents can’t afford to continue paying for everything. We are taxed to death. Think about the utilities, property, superintendents, staff, etc. for all these schools.

Look across the river. Wood County has one superintendent. At wages that superintendents are paid, does it really make good sense to have schools within 7 to 11 miles from each other?

Eleven miles between Warren and Belpre. Use the Internet people and check the facts! Facts matter.
