I am writing on behalf of the Marietta College Baseball players, coaches and staff.
We want to say thank you for all that you have done for our program over the last 60 years. When you talk about Marietta College Baseball most people think of Don Schaly, Kent Tekulve, Terry Muholland, National Championships, etc. … and rightfully so. We want to say that we inside the program also think of these people as well as so many others that have had such an amazing impact on our program.
The "unsung heroes" however are and have always been you, the local community, that have and continue to do so much for Marietta College and Marietta College Baseball. I'm not one to name names but without the unconditional support of The Marietta Times, WTAP, WMOA, so many local hotels (Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express only to name a couple), restaurants (Davinci's, Townhouse, Neader's Diner, Smitty's Pizza, Austyn's -- again only to name a few) and all of you local die-hard fans, the experience of our student-athletes and that of our competitors just would not be near what it is.
From all of us to all of you, thank you for making this place so incredibly inviting and special.
