Letter to the Editor: Biden in crisis mode
Trending
I wrote previously Joe Biden is the worst president in U.S. history. Consider the following:
When Biden assumed office, our southern border was secure, but with a series of executive fiats, Biden ended Trump's deportation policy, implementing instead a "catch and release" policy, in violation of current immigration law. Biden is secretly transporting illegals around the country, mainly to six swing states. Biden also ended Trump's remain-in-Mexico policy and stopped the completion of the southern border wall, allowing illegals, some violent, like MS-13 gang members, to swarm into the U.S. carrying fentanyl and other illegal drugs.
Many illegals are infected with COVID (the omicron variant), contributing to the recent COVID outbreaks. While Americans were mandated to wear masks in public, illegals crossing the border were not, nor were infected illegals required to quarantine themselves like infected Americans. Illegal immigrants are treated better than American citizens by the Biden administration.
When the original COVID lockdown ended and America was returning to normalcy, Biden instituted a second needless lockdown, which further devastated our economy. Biden actually paid citizens to stay home and not work, which began our supply chain crisis, resulting in empty store shelves.
Biden issued mandatory vaccinations for all workers, including truck drivers, leading to a truck driver shortage, further complicating the supply chain crisis.
Biden's energy policies are fueling (pun intended) high gasoline and home heating costs. High fuel costs increase the price of all good delivered to stores when goods are available, leaving Americans with less money to spend on non-essentials. This stifles the economy.
Using presidential fiats, Biden ended coal mining, stopped drilling and fracking on government-owned lands and killed the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. And now Biden is begging OPEC to produce more oil.
Nearly a month after Putin invaded Ukraine, Biden is threatening to cease purchasing the 590,000 barrels of petroleum products a day from Russia, so energy prices are going even higher. Therefore, Biden should ignore the environmental extremists and immediately re-authorize exploration, drilling and fracking to lower energy prices and jumpstart our economy "overnight."
Unfortunately, using common sense or showing leadership is above Biden's paygrade. Ergo, Biden may go down in history as the "crisis president," who turned everything he touched into a crisis.
