Betty J. Swartz

Betty J. Swartz, 64, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by the family she cherished. Born on April 5, 1961, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, Betty was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Sharon Walton (Parks). She grew up in Parkersburg and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1979. Jimmy Lee McKnight, 85, of St. Marys, died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in his residence at Harmony of Morgantown. He was born October 1, 1939, in Weirton, WV to Claude and Erma McKnight. A 1956 graduate of St. Marys High School who entered the Army and served during the Korean War. Upon his return from Korea, he married Sara Little on Christmas Day, 1960. He worked at Union Carbide for over 30 years and also held positions with Queen City Barrel and Republic Container. He was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church.
