Bertha C. Stacy Stone went home to heaven on August 23, 2025. She was born on November 10, 1934, and spent most of her life on Federal Road in Little Hocking, Ohio. She graduated from Belpre High School in 1952, married John E. “Gene” Stone soon after, and followed him in his service in the Navy Air for four years. They were members of Little Hocking United Methodist Church for many years, and later attended Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Belpre and Veto Presbyterian Church in Veto. Roger Dean Augenstein, 63, Lowell, died on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, following a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home in Lowell. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Willie Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

A daughter of the late James and Pearl Neff Hissom, she was born February 5, 1944, in Sistersville, WV. She was a former school secretary and librarian with Pleasant County Schools. Carol was a devout Christian and enjoyed spending time with her family.
