Joy Lee Morningstar

Joy Lee Morningstar, 82, of Parkersburg, WV, entered the Kingdom peacefully on 9-28-25 surrounded by her living family. Born in St. Marys WV on 2-18-43. She is the daughter of the late Forest and Lona Webb. Sister of the late Paul “Bud” Webb. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Jody (Arnold) Morris and Michelle Morningstar. She is also lovingly remembered by her two grandsons, Colt Morningstar and Mikel Taylor as well as her great grand-daughter Dixie Sargent and great niece Gypsy Morningstar. Russell C. “Red” Polin, 101, of Leroy, W.Va., passed away on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at the Elizabeth Care Center in Elizabeth. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, Young Cemetery, Linden, W.Va. Visitation, one hour before the service Wednesday.

Denzil Lee Sands, 74, of Foley, AL, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025. He was born on May 2, 1951, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Denzil Sands and Julia Sands. Following his fathers passing at a young age, Julia married Julius “Andy” Simon who raised him. He was a proud graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1969. Shortly after, he served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry Burl Simmons, 76, of Washington, WV, passed away on Oct. 9th, 2025, at Rockland Ridge Nursing Facility in Belpre, Ohio. He was born on Jan. 22nd, 1951, to Burl & Pauline Simmons of Parkersburg, WV. Larry was a member of the first graduating class of Parkersburg South High School in 1968. After high school, he attended some college and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
