Patricia Jean Gateman, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Hilton Head Island on December 4. The daughter of Major and Gwendolyn Ward, Pat was born and raised in Parkersburg, spending her first 85 years there, building a life centered on family, friends, and deep community roots. In her later years she relocated to Michigan to be closer to family, and ultimately made her home on Hilton Head, where she enjoyed a quiet and comfortable life.
