Janet Sue McMullen Balderson, 79, of Parkersburg, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026 surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Parkersburg, November 2, 1946, the daughter of the late Patrick and Bonnie McMullen.
She had worked as a Dietary Technician for the St. Joseph's Hospital and had owned and operated Big J’s Dairyette and AAMCO Transmissions in Parkersburg.
Janet enjoyed golfing, bingo, porch sitting and playing gambling machines. She loved snowbirding with her husband in Florida for over 20 years and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had attended Grace Brethren Church.
She is survived by her children, Angela Deneise Lilly (Mark), Robert Scott Earl and Billie R. Balderson Jr. Her grandchildren whom she raised, Natasha Anderson, Nicole Stauffer and Brittane Earl along with many other grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved dearly. Her brothers, Robert McMullen (Cheryl), Ralph McMullen (Cathy) and Richard McMullen (Tressa).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Raymond Balderson; Her sons, Kenny Balderson and Timothy Hupp and one daughter, Kimberly Hupp.
Funeral services will be Monday 1:00pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4pm and Monday from noon until service time.
