Robert "Bob" Porter Anderson, 74, a long-time resident of Waverly, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Camden Clark Hospital.

Born August 30, 1952, to Everette Anderson and Imogene (Harness) Anderson, Bob was a 1971 graduate of Williamstown High School and retired from Allegheny Power, where he held the position of lead mechanic. Family, faith and service were at the heart of Bob's life. He proudly served as a volunteer fireman for the Waverly Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, and was a lifelong member of Waverly Bethel Presbyterian Church. Bob was an outdoorsman at heart, and enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his son, Joe (Jen); his grandchildren, Joscelyn and Jaxzen; his brother, Bill Anderson; sister, Jean Masters; brother-in-law, David Masten (Judy); nephew, Dave Masten (Vicki); niece, Sherri Mackey (Bub); great-nephew, Tyler Mackey; and his loving companion, Sally Black.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary Ann, his parents, and his brother-in-law Dwight Masters.

A service celebrating Bob's life will be held at Waverly Bethel Presbyterian Church on October 10 at 2:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waverly Fire Department or the Parkersburg Oil and Gas Museum.
