Kathryn L. Bennett, 100, of Parkersburg, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2026, from Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born August 9, 1926, in Reedy, WV, a daughter of the late Harry "Cam" DePue and Elizabeth (Hanger) DePue.
Kathryn was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was very involved with Sunrise Baptist Church, Girl Scouts, sports, travel, camping, and the PTA.
Kathryn is survived by her 3 children, Linda Snider (David) of Mineral Wells, WV, Cindy Noland (Greg) of Parkersburg, and Patricia Murphy (Charles) of Charleston, WV, 10 grandchildren: Matthew Snider, Nathan Snider, Adam Snider, Katie Wootton, Hope Roush, Elizabeth Simonton, Rob Noland, Patrick Stephens, Bennett Murphy, and Mikalyn Murphy, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Bennett, 1 son, Gregory Paul Bennett, 1 daughter, Rebecca Stephens, 4 sisters, Eleanor Devlin, Jeanine Hollingsworth, Juanita DePue, and Barbara Stealey, and 1 brother, Harry C. DePue.
The service will be Friday 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Reverend Bruce Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
