Shook

Isa Jacqueline “Jackie” Shook passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a brief illness.

Jackie was born October 4, 1934, in Parkersburg, WV. She married the love of her life, Harold Shook, on October 4, 1957. They shared 58 wonderful years of marriage before Harold’s passing. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cindy Webb.

She is survived by her children, Susan Williamson (Clint), Lisa Ray (Rick), and son-in-law Darian Webb. She was a proud grandmother to Tera, Ashley, Kyle, and Owen, and a cherished great-grandmother to Tyson, Hunter, and Keely. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Jackie spent most of her working career employed by McCrory’s 5 & 10 in downtown Parkersburg. Following retirement, she and Harold enjoyed working together on their woodcrafts and traveling to craft shows throughout the area.

She was a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Ben Bey Grottoettes.

One of Jackie’s greatest pleasures was sitting outside each day, watching the walkers and pickleball players at the park. She enjoyed the simple joys of life and treasured time spent with family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided during Jackie’s final days.

Jackie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral Service will be 5:00 PM Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Keith Roberts as "MC". Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home before the service.
