Henry Lee Douglas Craig, age 84, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away September 7, 2026, with his wife by his side. Henry was born July 25, 1942, in Dequeen, Arkansas, to the late Chester Lee Craig and Ellaveese Autry. Henry graduated from Dequeen Arkansas High School in 1961. After graduation he worked at a Hardware store and exercised racehorses. He later enlisted with the Marine Core for three years. He earned the rank of Sargent and was deployed to Vietnam with the First Battalion 8th Marines 2nd Marines Division. After discharge from the service, he took a friend home on leave and at this time he met his future wife Teresa Truex of St. Marys, West Virginia. They married on August 19, 1967, and were happily married for 59 years. Henry was a Master Mason with the St. Marys Masonic Lodge #41, he was a Kentucky Colonel and belonged to the Nemesis Shine Parkersburg Lodge. Henry was a devoted and loving husband and father.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chad Douglas Craig; brother, Stanley Craig; brother-in-law, Spencer Carpenter. He is survived by his wife Teresa; brother, CJ (Johnnie Faye) Criag; one sister, Martha Criag; sister-in-law, Cheryl Truex Carpenter; brother-in-law, Mike (Phoebe) Truex; sister-in-law, Mindy Truex (Brad) Bussey; Aunts, Hellen Craig Long, jewel Francis Criag Ward, Blanche Irene Craig Wildouhby, Helen Joyce Craig Long; uncles, Henry Mac Craig, Roy Eugene Craig, Clovis Earl Craig, Cody Craig; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and longtime school friend Jerry Petet. A traditional graveside service with burial of ashes, will be held Saturday, September 27, 2026, at 3:00 P.M at the cemetery on the Truex family farm in St. Marys WV. Clare Sulgit will be officiating, with Military and Masonic Rites. There will be a meal provided for friends and family after the graveside service at the St. Marys Masonic Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Shriners Burn Unit, or the Hurley Burn Unit in Flint Michigan. Ingram Funeral Home is assisting the family.
