Franklin Delano Dines, of Caldwell, OH (formerly Parkersburg, WV) went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2026. He was born May 1, 1938, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late William Dines and Doris Mitchell Dines.
Frank graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1956. He was employed by DuPont, where he worked as an electrician for 39 years before retiring in December 1997. He proudly served as a member of the Army National Guard and Reserves and was also a member of the Nemesis Shriners.
Frank is survived by his two daughters, Brandi (Brad) Davis and Angela (Lou Veltri) Delli-Gatti; three granddaughters, Breaunna (Lukas) Williams, Rashelle (Louai) Salaita, and Alek (Chandler) McDaniel; three grandsons, Graham, Tomlin, and Hayden Davis; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Victor, and Zane Salaita; and his brother, Gary Dines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings, Nelly, Jenny, Bill, Bob, Jim, Ramonda, Doris, and Lola; and his beloved son-in-law, David Haynes.
Frank was an amazing dad, a loving grandfather, and a devoted family man. His family meant the world to him, and he never missed an opportunity to show them how much he loved and cared for them. He was always there to support the people he loved, whether through a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply being someone they could always count on.
Frank also had a great love for sports. He was an avid sports fan and could often be found watching a game and cheering on his favorite teams. He was especially proud to be a West Virginia Mountaineer and Parkersburg South Patriot fan. His love of sports brought him countless memories and gave him another way to connect with the people he loved.
Above all, Frank will be remembered for his generous heart, his love for his family, and being a good servant of God. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, family, and countless cherished memories. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
