Ann L. Matthews, 90, formerly of Vincent, OH, passed away September 10, 2026, in South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Harvey (Pat) and Mary Stahlman McCutcheon. She married her late husband Jim Matthews in 1955 and together they lovingly raised four children, Mike (Penny) Matthews, Lila (Scot) Kaneff, Tim Matthews, and Tammi (Tim) Life. She cherished her granddaughters Erica (Dave) Johnson, Jesse (Chris) Bauman and great-grandchildren T.J. and Dorothy Johnson.
Ann led a very full and accomplished life. She enjoyed history and learning. The Matthews' Vincent home was always busy with hosting family and friends. She was especially close to her large extended family. Many knew her as the co-owner of A&J's Dairy Bar from the late 80's and early 90's where she served the best foot long hot dogs around. She and Jim retired to the South in the 90's. She enjoyed playing board games and cards with her family and friends. She especially loved her Sunday afternoons with Mike and Penny playing her favorite Dominoes game.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Tim, daughter Tammi, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Juanita McCutcheon, brother Jerry McCutcheon, sister and brother-in-law Maysel and Robert Williams, and brother-in-law Jerry Curry.
A celebration-of-life will be held at a later date.
