John Rafferty, 74, passed away August 25, 2026, at Kodima Rehabilitation Center in Latrobe, PA. He was born May 5, 1952, a son to the late John O. Rafferty and Jane C. Rafferty (Nolan). John was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and was active in music, speech, and theatre there. He also was active at Parkersburg’s Actor’s Guild. He attended Heidelberg College, where he was educated in the arts and theatre.
Surviving John are his sisters Jane Row and Mary E. Long; brother Thomas N. Rafferty, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Susan Eileen Rafferty.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Actor’s Guild of Parkersburg.
John’s remains will be cremated and a private memorial service will take place with the family at a later date.
