Janet Ingrid Hightower, 70, of Washington, passed away July 27, 2026, at the Eagle Pointe Healthcare Center in Parkersburg, WV. She was born on December 17, 1955, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Robert Leo Graham and Barbara Louise (Burd) Rector.
Janet was a kind and caring person who never knew a stranger. She loved to spend her free time painting, crocheting, or sitting on her porch and being outside, enjoying life. She also enjoyed starting DIY projects and getting into mischief with her best friend Misty. Janet loved her dogs Sammy, Hunter, and Old Spank, and had a loving heart for all animals.
She is survived by the Casto family which includes Misty (Ben), Courtney, Chase (Lorayle), Caleb, Gary Fleak, Jason (Terri) Fleak, Brittany (Robbie) Davis, Cheyanne (Jake) Douglas, and several bonus grandkids, all from Washington and Parkersburg, WV. She is also survived by her step-son, Danny (Joan) Hightower, 5 siblings, several nieces and nephews, as well as lots of friends who were more like family that will miss her dearly.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her step-dad Joseph Rector, son Jeffrey Lee Eaton II, and her lifelong friend Sheila Fleak.
Per her wishes, Janet will be cremated with no services at this time. A memorial gathering will be scheduled for a later date.
