Clarence Richard “Buck” Leasure, 84, born Dec. 6, 1941, passed away Aug. 18, 2026, with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Russell “Bud” and Doris Cline Leasure; sisters, Barbara “Sissy” Leasure and Carolyn Leasure Fordyce; and precious angel babies.

A 1961 Parkersburg High School graduate, Buck served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a radio operator and was honorably discharged in 1966. He worked for Mon Power, Walker Caterpillar, Stephens Construction, and the Parkersburg Utility Board, retiring in 2003.

Buck was a lifelong member and longtime deacon of Big Tygart Baptist Church. He served on the Big Tygart Cemetery Committee and helped maintain the cemetery and its records. He enjoyed trout fishing, Cincinnati Reds baseball, farming, operating his sawmill, repairing equipment, and solving problems. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Daggett Leasure; children, Ellen (Bob) Bean, Charlene (Richard) Wilson, Rusty (Sandy) Leasure, and Michelle (Mike) Collins; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Neva) Leasure and Donna (Dan) Daley; and adopted family, Rusty and Julie Hall, their children and grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg with Rev. Bernard Thrash officiating. Interment will follow with full military rites at Big Tygart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 21 and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Big Tygart Baptist Church, P.O. Box 149, Mineral Wells, WV 26150.

Buck’s legacy of faith, family, kindness, hard work, and unconditional love will be cherished by all who knew him.
