Bonnie L. Patient, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026 at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Patient; her parents, Thomas and Hannah Cima, her brother Thomas “Bud” Cima, and her sisters, Nita Graves and Gussie Herrington, her son William “Bill” Patient, Jr, and her grandsons Jeremy Williamson and William “Billy” Patient.

Bonnie is survived by her five daughters, Melisa Williamson, Cindy Riggs (Ken), Alison Patient, Jeanette Daniels (Craig) and Rita Patient; her grandchildren, Pam Mancini (Jake), Courtney Patient and Lori Williamson; and her great-granddaughter Jaime Williamson. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Marilyn Cima and her many nieces and nephews throughout California and Illinois, to whom she was known and dearly loved as “Aunt Bonnie.”

Bonnie was married to her beloved Bill for more than 60 years. They traveled the world together spending time in Europe, Canada, and many locations within the United States. She made life-long friendships wherever she landed. She loved collecting Nativity scenes, amassing quite the collection, and artwork of all kinds from local artists to beautiful finds during her travels.

She enjoyed spending time on the golf course and was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Arizona Wildcats with great enthusiasm-especially when it came to basketball. Her passion for the game and her team was well known among family and friends.

Quick to laugh, Bonnie will be remembered for the warmth, devotion and joy she brought to her family and everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations in Bonnie’s name to one of her favorite charities, St. Odilia’s Catholic Community online or by mail at 7570 N Paseo del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704; or Wounded Warriors Project online or by mail at PO Box Topeka, KA 66675-8516.
