Angela Kathlene “Angie” Ivey, 55, of Belpre, Ohio, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Born December 19, 1970, Angie lived a life defined by faith, family, and a selfless heart.
Angie graduated from the WVUP nursing program, but her favorite role in life was being a mother to her son, Zak. If Zak was involved in an activity, Angie was there volunteering--with Boy Scouts, Guild Builders, or Florida talent trips. A natural caregiver, she helped care for her beloved Nana Helen and nurtured many children who are now grown. She sang in the choir and served in youth ministry at Mullen Memorial Baptist Church, and loved helping with local Belpre pageants.
Angie brought warmth and humor wherever she went. She cherished camping at Cacapon State Park, family road trips, and cheering on the Miami Dolphins and Ohio State Buckeyes. She proudly “fan-girled” over Meryl Streep and Lady Diana, and -- much to her family's recent surprise and amusement -- faithfully kept up with the Kardashians. Above all, she treasured her beloved dogs, Baby Girl and Boots.
She was preceded in death by her Father Richard Greene, Nana Helen Greene, Great-Grandmother Bertha Cook, Grandparents Ronald and MaryAnn Barclay, Uncle Patrick Barclay, Memaw Betty Wingrove, and special Uncle Dave Brown.
She is survived by her son Zak Ivey (Sarah); sister Sonya Smith; brother Eric Greene (Jennifer); mothers: Rhonda Barclay and Cathy Gwaltney (Mike); special Aunt Carol Brown; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her church family; and her beloved dogs, Baby Girl and Boots. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mullen Memorial Baptist Church (1520 Putnam Howe Dr., Belpre, OH). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Angie's name to the Dandy – Walker Foundation, the Belpre Band Boosters, or the Mullen Memorial Baptist Church Youth Program.
