Alice Virginia (Blake) Belknap

Belknap

Alice Virginia (Blake) Belknap, 91, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2026. She was born in Heaters, WV, on March 17, 1935, to Lottie Virginia (Prince) Blake and George Grant Blake.

She is survived by her daughters Bethel Adkins, Linda Chappie (Steve), and Alma Moore (Len Grasso); her grandchildren Nathan Adkins and Katrina Shanesy (Bobby); her great grandchildren Graham Shanesy and Greta Shanesy, her sister Lou Smith (Jim), and her sister-in-law Pearl Blake. She is also survived by Smokey, her feline companion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Belknap; siblings Avah Burroughs, Elda Belknap, Charles Blake, and George Blake, and her son-in-law Brent Adkins.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m., and will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
