Norma J. Cunningham

Norma J. Cunningham, 91, of Vienna, WV, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at her home. She was born in Marietta, OH, a daughter of the late Francis E. and Bertha V. (Skidmore) Lewis.

She was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was a homemaker and also a secretary at her husband Bob’s insurance company. She was a member of Vienna Baptist Church since 1959, where she served on the Deaconess Board and Hostess Board … and anything that related to serving food for church functions. She retired from Coordinated Counsel for Independent Living (CCIL). She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and bowling in leagues at Emerson Bowling Lanes.

She is survived by her husband of seventy-one years R.T. “Bob” Cunningham; son Mark Cunningham (Debbie) of Worthington, OH; daughter Carla Cunningham of Vienna; granddaughter April Cunningham, Alisha Barber (Josh Goodnight), and Kari Miller; great grandsons Chase Marra and Arlo Goodnight; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Mildred Grogg and Nancy Boso.

Services will be Tuesday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery North. Visitation will be Monday 5-8 PM and Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
