Lowell Edward Eddy

Lowell Edward Eddy, 83, of Newport, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 29th, 2026. He was born May 24, 1943, to the late Edward Virgil Eddy and Vera Louise Smith Eddy. Lowell married Kathryn Shingleton Eddy on June 23rd, 1967, and they celebrated 59 years together.

Lowell is survived by his wife Kathryn; children: Beth Eddy (Chris), Jody (John) Buegel, and Tom (Traci) Eddy; grandchildren: Miriah (Andrew) Riffle, Garrett (Sarah) Buegel, Tyler (Laurel) Palmer, Colton Eddy and Coen Eddy; great-grandchildren: Hayden and Reed Riffle, Oakley and Hazel Buegel, and Ezra Palmer; siblings: Darla Eddy, Jack (Gayle) Eddy, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Eddy and Jerry Eddy; and in-laws, Larry & Alberta Shingleton.

A funeral service will be held Friday July 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with John Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery, Newport, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Friday July 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral.
