Larry A. Leisure, 80, of Vienna, WV, died Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Camden Clark Medical Center WVU Medicine. He was born in Wood County, WV, the oldest of six children born to the late Harry and Dorothy (Mace) Leisure.
Mr. Leisure retired from the City of Vienna where he was a mechanic and street sweeper. He was a proud United States Marine and was combat wounded in Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He was a wonderful and loving husband and father. He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his twin brother, Garry. Larry made people laugh and always had a quick comment in any situation. He will be missed by many friends and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Marilyn Moreland Leisure; two children: Greg Leisure and Tina Leisure; two grandchildren; Shavonna Woods and Adeline Woods; and two great-grandchildren: Christopher Parko and LeeAnna Parko; two sisters: Marsha Snider and Anne Harris; and one brother: Ronald Leisure.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Garry Leisure and Michael Ray Leisure.
At his request there will be no funeral, just a private graveside service. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is in charge of the arrangements.
