James Charles French, 66, of Cairo, WV, departed this life July 22, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late James and Edna Leaman French.
Jim graduated from Harrisville High School in 1977. He worked in the Carpenter Union in Parkersburg until his retirement. He enjoyed farming, reading, running his saw mill, history and spending time with family, friends and his dog Bernie.
He is survived by one son, Charles "Charlie" French (Hallie Zimmer) of Cairo; sisters, Flo Ann Crawford (Larry) of Parkersburg and Rebecca Sue Haid (Joseph) of Vincent, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Cody French.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Private Graveside will follow in the Cairo IOOF Cemetery.
