Frankie M. Hanlon, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away July 14, 2026, at the Ohio Valley Health Care Center. She was born on March 3, 1937, in Weston, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel Whitescarver Beachler.
Frankie worked for the Pennsboro News and previously with the Senior Citizens in Pennsboro. She enjoyed music having sung in a quartet in school and was a long time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and volunteered with Urban Ministries for over 22 years. She also was a member of the Women’s Federation of Women’s Club for 50 years and with the Order of the Eastern Star as a 50 year member. She loved her animals, line dancing and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth E. (Kay) Hanlon of Williamstown, Kevin M. (Pam) Hanlon of Williamstown; one daughter, Karla Ellison of Lancing, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica Maloy, Miranda Hanlon, Mallory Hinzman, Richard Hanlon; seven great grandchildren, Joshua, Austin, Cecily, Evelyn, Elise, William and Hutchinson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen C. Hanlon; brother, Ronald Beachler and a dear friend, Ron Spiker.
A gathering of family and friends will be held, Saturday, July 18th, from 2-4 pm at the Leavitt Reception Center.
