Elbert C Cline, 84, of Walker, WV, passed away July 24, 2026, at his residence.
He was born August 4, 1941, in Wirt County, West Virginia, a son of the late Elliott Cline and Zona Mae Wilkinson Cline.
At the age of 17, Elbert proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably from 1959 to 1964. During his military service, he completed a 13-month tour in Korea. Following his time in the Army, he dedicated 34 years of employment to DuPont before retiring. Elbert was a faithful member of the Church of God Saturday Sabbath in Belpre, Ohio. In his free time, he enjoyed restoring and working on cars, taking pride in caring for his yard, and especially loved mowing the four acres he called home. Elbert leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Victoria Cline; daughters, Barbara Cline of Kentucky, Tracy Cline of Belpre, OH; step-son, Paul (Tammy) Cline; sister, Velma (Carol) Baine of Elizabeth, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Berneda Mae Cline Wolfe Stewart; two brothers, Elden, Alfred and sister, Marie.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home.
