Crowder
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Crowder, 81, formerly of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She passed away on May 17, 2026, in Charleston, West Virginia surrounded by her sons, Bob and John. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James “Ed” Crowder. Her surviving immediate family members include her sons, Bob and John, her daughter-in-law, Heather Crowder and her two granddaughters, Caroline and Ellie. Her surviving extended family includes her sister Maryann Seasor, and two stepsisters, Patricia Kuhens and Becky Williams-Smith. She was above all a devoted wife, caring mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful provider for and protector of her family. She gave more of herself than she asked from anyone. She was an outstanding nurse, massage, therapist and healer. Her family, friends, clients and neighbors will miss her deeply every day. We appreciate the excellent care provided by Charleston General Hospital and Hubbard hospice house. Donations can be directed there. A graveside service will be held at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, West Virginia, on June 12, 2026, at 2 PM.
