Mark E. Thomas

Mark E. Thomas, 75, of Coolville, OH, died Friday May 29, 2026, at Arcadia Nursing Home. He was born in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Boyd J. and Garnet M. (Chauncey) Thomas.

He retired from the United States Navy after twenty years. He enjoyed playing guitar, woodworking, and wrote gospel music (as well as belonging to gospel groups).

He is survived by his wife Charlene K. (Paugh) Thomas; son Matthew J. Thomas (Mandy) of Bauxite, Arkansas; grandsons Michael and Nicholas Thomas; four brothers Timothy Thomas (Ellen), Daniel Thomas (Marge), Phillip Thomas (Olga), and Jeffrey Thomas (Dayne); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be Friday 11:00 AM at the mausoleum at Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM in the mausoleum. Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre is assisting the family with arrangements.
