Kimberley Dawn Tice

Kimberley Dawn Tice, of St. Marys, WV, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She faced and survived a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer, and a six-year journey with ALS. Kimberley’s strength, bravery, and unwavering spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Born on January 23, 1959, Kimberley was the daughter of Ruth Binegar Schneider and the late John Schneider. She graduated from Frontier High School in 1977. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from Ohio University, followed by a Master’s +45 in Speech Pathology from Marshall University. Kimberley held distinguished certifications, including AAA certification from the American Academy of Audiology and CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

On June 23, 1984, Kimberley married the love of her life, Steven Lee Tice, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. She dedicated her career as a Speech Pathologist to various schools, including Wood County Schools, Frontier Local Schools, and Pleasants County Schools where she retired. She also contributed many summers to the Pleasants County Schools Summer Speech Program and provided her expertise to several area hospitals and nursing homes, including Care Haven of Pleasants and Easter Seals.

Kimberley is survived by her husband Steven Lee Tice; her son, Aaron Lee Tice; her mother, Ruth Schneider; her brother, John Schneider; her sister, Stephanie (Matthew) Miller; and her sister-in-law, Judy (Mark) Mellor. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Amy Gough, Bryan Wise, Brad Lewis, Toby Reeves, and Jadyn McGee, as well as several beloved cousins and her special lifelong friend, Betty Neader. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Hannah Steele, Linda Busch, Gabe Conaway, Becky Richards, Laura Tice, as well as Morgan Rogers of Adoration Hospice, for their compassionate care.

Kimberley was preceded in death by her father, John Schneider; her grandparents, Donald and Gladys Binegar, and Alva and Harry Schneider; her mother-in-law, Donna Tice; her father-in-law, Bernard Tice; and her sister-in-law, Laurie Schneider.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church in St. Marys, WV, with Father Shinto Mathew officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 P.M. during Tuesday’s visitation.
