Carolyn Louise Payne

Carolyn Louise Payne, 87, of Waterford, OH, formerly of Waverly, WV, passed away June 2, 2026, at the Arbors at Marietta.

She was born on May 14, 1939, in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Maxine Edman Barker.

In addition to being a homemaker and caretaker, Carolyn was a owner/operator truck driver with her husband. She enjoyed outdoor gardening, canning and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Allen Clark (Stacy) of Dungannon, OH, Dale and Darrell Clark both of Waverly, WV, David Clark (Kim) of Michigan and Linda Baker (Trent King) of Waterford; grandchildren Sarah, Mack, Tonya, Derek and Keasandra (Christian); great-grandchildren Aurora and Aviana; sisters Joyce Payne and Sherry Dearth.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Edward Payne; brothers Charles, David and Jimmie Barker; sister Charlotte.
