Stevan Alan Satterfield

Satterfield

Stevan Alan Satterfield, 77, of Ellenboro, departed this life on May 20, 2026 at his residence after a courageous battle against the evil of cancer for seven years. He did not win the battle, rather he won the war of the devil and gained eternity with God.

2 Timothy: 4-7

I have fought the good fight,

I have finished the race,

I have kept the faith

He is seeing the unseen; He is home!

He was born April 30, 1949 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Guy Alfred and Edna Elizabeth Vincent Satterfield.

Steve was a graduate of Pennsboro High School, Class of 1967. He retired as a truck driver for Air Products and was a member of the Ritchie County Car Club and Nutter Farm Community Church. Steve enjoyed driving truck with longtime friends and brother-in-laws, spending time with his family and his wife of 54 years, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, keeping his yard in pristine condition, and taking pride in his 1970 Road Runner.

One of Steve’s greatest wishes was to live to see his grandchildren play ball. Though the journey was not always easy, his determination never wavered, and he was blessed to see that wish fulfilled.

He is survived by his wife Anna Kay Lamp Satterfield; sons, Jason Michael Satterfield (Stephanie) of Belmont, WV and David Ryan Satterfield (Ashley) of Ellenboro; brother Gary Satterfield of IN; grandchildren, Macie, Andlyn, Mattox, Quintin, Bryce and Ava Satterfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with Rev. Tom Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, from 4-8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulloughRaiguel.com.
