Roderick (Rod) D. Fox, of Belpre, OH, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH. He was born in Greensburg, PA, and was the only son of Eugene and Jackie Board Fox.

He entered the United States Navy after high school and served with honor on the USS Enterprise and the USS Greenwich Bay.

Rod graduated from the Pipefitter Local 565 apprenticeship school and worked out of that local for 38 years. He served on the Executive Board of Local 565 and was an instructor in the apprenticeship school.

He was a long-time member of the Porterfield Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board and other committees. He enjoyed owning antique cars and was a member of the Pioneer Antique Auto Club.

Survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce; daughter, Cathy (Brent) Singer of Powell, OH; son, Steven (Michelle) Fox of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Madison (Kyle) Youngpeter, Mason (Megan) Holbert, Cole Holbert, Zach (Elizabeth) Fox and Allyson Fox; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Wyatt Youngpeter and Haiden Fox; two sisters Diana Jones and Deborah Drake.

In addition to his parents, Rod was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Casto, Betty Bessent, Velda Fox and Barbara Higgenbotham.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, May 23, at 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Belpre with Pastor Eric Leeson and Pastor Mark Eaton officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells, WV.
