Nancy Jean Stanley, of Barboursville, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Nancy was born on January 30, 1939, in Barnesville, OH, to Robert and Blanche Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Keith Wright and twin sisters Dortha Crenshaw and Donna Dorenbusch.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Phillip Stanley. In addition to being a wonderful mother to 3 children Steven, Mark and Terri, she was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Nancy enjoyed being a housewife most of her life but did work for Phil as he opened his State Farm agency in Ravenswood in 1971. She also worked in the office of Dr. Morad and Dr. Vongsnakorn and was a ward clerk for Jackson General Hospital. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and taught children’s classes for many years.

Visitation for Nancy will be at the Belpre Church of Christ in Belpre, OH, on Saturday May 16 from 1-2 followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 led by Mark Kauffman, a dear friend of the family and Phil’s sister Kay Grose. Please join us as we celebrate her wonderful life.
