It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Hunt (Plumley), age 62 of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Kim passed away peacefully at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.

Born August 20, 1963 in Santa Paula, California. She was the cherished daughter of Garnette and Jesse ‘Jack’ Plumley. Kim was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School in 1981. She went on to graduate from West Virginia State University and later earned her CNA certification from the WVU Parkersburg CNA program. While living in Parkersburg, she was employed at Simonton Windows, HealthSouth (Encompass) and various nursing homes taking care of many patients. She also had an Associate Degree in Child Development and enjoyed working as a substitute Teachers’ Aide in Kanawha County Schools. Kim enjoyed family pets, watching sports on TV, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kim is survived by her mother, Garnette Plumley; Sister, Lynn Plumley Dyer (Alan); daughters: Jessica Ellis (Brandon) and Ashley Holton; six grandchildren: Nevaeh Weathersbee, Lily and Emma Ellis, Roevon, Amir, and Roosevelt Holton. Left to mourn her loss are also many cousins and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Plumley.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Ohio Valley Health Care, Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, and Amedisys Hospice of Vienna for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the nonprofit, Hope Lives Here for ‘Pick me ups for those affected by Cancer’ in memory of Kim’s beloved Aunt Freda, 879 Lukes Drive, Ripley, WV 25271 or March of Dimes, Charleston, WV.
