Kendall Richards
Kendall Richards
Kendall Keith Richards, 55, of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away at home on February 28, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on October 23, 1970, in Marietta Ohio, he was the son of Patsy Richards and the late Delmos Richards.
Kendall was a 1989 graduate of Belpre High School and Proudly owned and operated Sundowner Used Auto Sales for 35 years. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished spending time with his family and friends. He loved traveling with his wife and sharing new experiences together. An animal lover with a deep appreciation for nature, Kendall especially enjoyed spending time at the family farm playing cards and making memories with loved ones.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Kendall never met a stranger. He was generous, compassionate, and always willing to help anyone in need. Throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley, he quietly donated food, supplies and support to countless families during difficult times, never seeking recognition for his kindness. His impact on his community and the people who knew him will not be forgotten.
In addition to his mother, Kendall is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Angela Leigh Richards; two children whom he dearly loved, son, Austin Keith (wife-Alexandra) Richards of Princeton, Texas, and daughter, Nicole Brooke Richards (fiance-Brian Thayil) of Midlothian, Texas; and sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Lee Smith of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to staff of the James Cancer Center, Arbors of Marietta Ohio and Cawley Hospice for their compassionate care.
In keeping with his wishes, his body was donated to The Ohio State University. Even after his passing, his generous spirit continues to help others through his gift to education and will benefit others for years to come.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 @ 3:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., at Leavitt’s Funeral Home of Parkersburg, West Virginia with Pastor Charles M. Linder officiating.
