Joyce M. Mangus

Joyce M. Mangus, 82, of Washington, WV, died Friday May 15, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late William E. and Crystal M. (Price) Thomas.

She was a homemaker and member of Parkersburg Evangelical Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking, and raising her daughters.

She is survived by her husband of almost sixty-two years Delmas C. Mangus; daughter Jeanette M. Mangus of Washington, WV; brother Forrest Thomas (Shirley) of Ripley, WV; sister-in-law Julia Thomas of Parkersburg; five sisters and a brother by marriage; and many nieces and nephews that she loved as if they were her own.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Ann Mangus; brother Larry Thomas; and brother-in-law Jerry Mangus.

Services will be Wednesday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Dobby Thrash officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8 PM.
