Mary “Sue” Conger

Mary “Sue” Conger, 81, of Cincinnati, formerly of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully April 16, 2026. She was born April 24,1944, to the late Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Stump in Jacksonville, Florida. Sue retired as a medical billing specialist at MFC and she was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Parkersburg, WV and St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church in Cincinnati, OH. In addition to loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Sue was an incredible seamstress who made her own wedding gown, several dresses for her daughters, took on mending and hemming projects, home goods and treasured gifts. Her favorite place to shop was Mulberry Lane Country Store, Parkersburg and she enjoyed reading mysteries, romantic novels and biographies. Sue’s other favorite pastime was watching the Cincinnati Reds and she was Graeter’s number one patron.

Sue was married to her late husband, Paul for 55 years. They have two daughters, Angela (Mark) Mascolino and Sheryl (Don) Johnson also of Cincinnati. She has two sisters, Margaret Mowery (the late Tom Mowery) and Kay Stump (John Chorba). Sue is preceded in death by her late sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Roberta and Charles Burk. She has two surviving sisters-in-law, Kathryn Stephens (the late Bob Stephens) and Gloria (Charlie) Atkinson. Her nieces and nephews include: Terri (Steve) Richards, Michael Burk, Kimberly (Paul) Holapa, Jennifer (Randy) Zalubil, and Darin (Stacy) Mowery. Her grandchildren are Collin Carrithers, Carter Carrithers, Deven (Hannah) Johnson, Tiffani Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, the late Alexis Johnson, Andrew Rugg and two great grandchildren, Tucker and Magnolia Johnson. Sue also has five great nephews and a niece: Matthew (Sara) Richards, Kira Bowen, Charlie Holpa, Zachary Zalubil, Cole Zalubil and Sean Mowery.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Ignatius of Loyola, Cincinnati. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the church beginning at 10:30 AM. Mass will follow at 11:30 AM.
