Gerald L. “Jerry” Tanner

Gerald L. “Jerry” Tanner, 74, of Boaz passed away April 26, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on December 30, 1951, to the late Ernest J. Helen Beall Tanner.

He was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from O’Ames after over thirty years of service. He was a member of the North End Church of Christ.

He is survived by his mother, his wife of 34 years, Juanita Tanner, his son Wyatt Tanner of Columbus, OH, his sister-in-law, Brenda Lell, his nephews Josh Lell and Nick Hoschar, niece Amanda Reilly, and cousin Sue Beall.

He was preceded in death by his father and his two sisters, Donna Tanner Goeke and Patty Tanner Hitt, both of Texas.

Jerry’s wishes are to be cremated, and a graveside service will be conducted at a later date. Lambert-Tatman of Vienna is honored to be working with the Tanner Family.
