Carl George Ferrell, 92, of Parkersburg, passed away April 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Logan, WV, on Oct 1, 1933, a son of the late George and Herma Ferrell.

More than anything, Carl loved to spend time with his family and his dog, Harley. He never took time with loved ones for granted, and made those around him feel special.

Carl enjoyed telling jokes, watching the Cleveland Indians, and McDonald’s biscuits & gravy. He was a simple man, and never lost sight of the things that truly mattered in life.

Along with his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his three brothers, three sisters, and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children, David (Kim) Ferrell, Michael (Christy) Ferrell, and Shannon (Matt) McCracken; four grandchildren, Brennen (Allison) Ferrell, Brice Ferrell, Cailin McCracken, and Lanie Ferrell; great-grandchild, Grayson Ferrell; and dear friend, Suzanne Ferrell.

Whenever it was time to go, he would always say:

“Just like a tomato, I’ll ketchup with you,” and we all can’t wait for that time to come again.
