Alex DeAngelo
DeAngelo
Alex DeAngelo, 26, of Parkersburg, WV, died Saturday April 4, 2026, at home. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA, a son of Louis V. DeAngelo Jr. and Kristen (Davis) DeAngelo of Parkersburg.
Alex helped open, and worked with his Dad and brothers most mornings at Southern Craft Restaurant. Like most of his siblings, his day wasn’t complete until he asked numerous times, “when will Mom be here.” Alex loved sports and like his big brother Louis, all things LSU. Painting and drawing was a way for him to get lost in the moment, but more than anything, Alex loved sitting around the table or in a restaurant eating, laughing with his siblings and being with his family. Aiden was usually the one who made him laugh the most, as “just the right amount of weird” and then Isabella speaking at her usual high volume, hysterical British or NY accent. His palate for discerning flavors was unique for his age, and he was a sounding board for new menu items, never shying away from giving his Dad a resounding “NAAAA, do better” to something he didn’t think was ready to serve. Though the quietest of his siblings, like them, his heart was filled with love, tenderness and an empathy and connection towards others in need, even when it came to not so tactfully schooling his youngest brother Leonardo on how to play basketball like he did when he was younger. Residing in Heaven, there is a high likelihood he is laughing with other family members, discovering his confidence to do and be anything he wants. He might even be helping Kobe improve this shot. Alex will forever be missed, loved and every memory cherished, his smile, laugh or never forgetting to say “I love you” to each of his family, every time someone left his company.
In addition to his parents he is survived by four siblings Louis III, Aiden, Isabella, and Leonardo DeAngelo; nephew Louis IV; paternal grandmother Gail DeAngelo; maternal grandfather Vic Davis; and many aunt, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Louis DeAngelo, Sr. and maternal grandmother Sharon (Chichester) Davis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Vienna with Father Shinu Lukose as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday 5-8 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
In lieu of flowers, Louis and Kristen ask that you take your kids/family to dinner or gather at home, share a meal, laugh and love each other in his memory.
