Tereca Ann Hyde Gibson, 79, of Parkersburg, passed away on March 10, 2026.

She was born on August 6, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV to William and Katherine Hyde. She was a 1964 graduate of Parkersburg High School.

Terry’s faith was an important part of her life. She was active in church and spent time helping a variety of organizations. Terry and her husband Dallas founded The Lord Cares Ministry which operated a food bank and small church in Parkersburg for several years, later relocating the ministry to Staunton, VA where it operated for several more. Terry loved to help others and would do whatever she could for a person in need. When she lived at the Washington County Home, she conducted Sunday services for fellow residents until she was unable. A friend and mom to all, she will be missed.

Terry is survived by her son Robert “Lee” Jenkins Jr. (Michelle) of Walker, WV, sister Patricia Sue Wildt of Pittsburgh, PA, stepson Brian Gibson (Kelly) of Winston-Salem, NC, and her grandchildren Christian Wilkinson, Brianna Wilkinson, and Rachel Gibson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Gibson, her daughter Tereca “Suzie” Wilkinson, and her grandsons Ronnie and Donnie Jenkins.

Services will be at 12 pm, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Chaplain Matt Dye officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11am-12 pm.
