Michael Lewis Evans

Michael Lewis Evans, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away, March 25, 2026. He was born August 11, 1952, in Parkersburg, a son to the late Charles Lewis and Mary Louise Evans.

Michael enjoyed old cars and going to car shows. He drove trucks for DeBarr trucking for 33 years. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Coronado LPD-11.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruth Ann Evans; his daughter, Stephanie Kent (Alan); his grandchildren, Haleigh Wallace (Jeff), Emily Richards (Logan), and Evan Kent; and one great-grandchild, Jersey Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Lou Evans; and his fur buddy, Hot Rod.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, with Pastor Chris Waldren officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m., until the time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
