Dorothy Lenore Parrish Elsworth

Dorothy Lenore Parrish Elsworth, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away February 25, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born November 7, 1931, in Liverpool, West Virginia, Lenore was the oldest of three children born to Rudolph and Mattie Parrish. She grew up in Ripley, West Virginia, and graduated from Ripley High School, Class of 1949. After high school, she attended Mountain State Secretarial School before beginning her career at the DuPont Washington Works plant where she worked for over 30 years.

In 2003, Lenore moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina, to be closer to her family. She became an active member of the Four Seasons Gold Hill senior community. At age 85, she proudly earned the community title of bocce champion.

Lenore was the heart of her family – a loving mother, grandmother, and proud matriarch. She loved traveling, playing games, and was known as a fiercely competitive dominoes player. She also loved to cook and was especially famous for her oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

She is survived by her brother, Hayward Parrish of Columbus, Ohio; her two sons, Greg Morris (Lindy) and Jim Morris of Fort Mill, South Carolina; and four grandchildren, Tyler Morris (Whitney) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Holly Beale (Hunter) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Devan Shaw (Alex) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Isaiah Morris (Sara) of Owasso, Oklahoma.

Lenore is also survived by four great-grandchildren with a fifth great-grandchild expected in July.

She was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Ronald Parrish, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alan Elsworth, and her former husband, Raymond Morris.

A celebration of life service will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna, West Virginia, on March 3, 2026 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
