Carroll Lloyd Bonnett

Carroll Lloyd Bonnett, 83, of Rockport, WV died on March 5, 2026 of a broken heart thirteen days after losing his beloved wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Bonnett. He was born in Jackson County on August 26, 1942, to the late Lloyd and Lessie Bonnett.

He was a member of Limestone Gospel Fellowship and a lifetime member of the JROUAM, council 106. Carroll served in the United States Army during peacetime and was retired from Linde Gas after over thirty-five years as well as Wood County Schools as a bus driver.

Carroll is survived by his son Robert (Tammy) Bonnett; daughter Tina (Kevin) Evans; four grandchildren Aren and David (Britney) Evans, and Matthew and Angel Bonnett; sisters-in-law Ruby Bonnett and Sandra Enoch; brothers-in-law Paul West and Ted Anderson; as well as many nieces and nephews and a daughter chosen by love, Diana Pierce.

In addition to his wife and parents, Carroll was preceded in death by one brother George; and seven sisters Evelynn, Margaret Ellen, Ireta, Janet, Violet, Ilene, and Patricia.

Funeral services will be Wednesday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Everett Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00 AM until time of service.
