Elizabeth Mary Mullen
Elizabeth Mary (Liz) Mullen was born on September 15, 1951, in Garden City, Michigan. She passed away Sunday morning, February 15, 2026, (age 74) at Pebble Creek Healthcare Center in Akron, Ohio, after a long illness.
Our sweet Liz was a wonderful, loving, successful, hard-working woman who was much-loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Camden Gorden Haverty and June Lucille Webb Haverty Davis, her brother, Gorden Ray Haverty, also nephew, Jeremy Allen Perkins. She leaves behind her daughters, Megan Elizabeth Mullen Brochu of Ravenna, Ohio; Ashley Melissa Mullen of Prescott, Arizona; and her beloved grandson, Thomas Anthony Brochu of Paxton, Massachusetts. Liz also leaves her sisters, Angela Burdette (Charles) of Howe, Indiana; Judy Perkins (Stanley) of Spencer, West Virginia; Linda Graves (Ronald) of Uniontown, Ohio; sister-in-law Debbie Haverty of Spencer, West Virginia; “sister” Kimberly Isenhart (David), Kearneysville, West Virginia; nephews, Chad Perkins (Nona), Matthew Graves (Jessica), nieces, Gloria Christlieb (Kayne), and Beth Bowen (Mark) and their families. Lastly, Liz leaves special friend Eric Cardinal of Chardon, Ohio.
Liz believed in being and doing good, always putting the welfare of others ahead of her own. She was of strong character, raised her girls as a single mother, worked hard to provide a comfortable home for them and Tommy, whom she adored. She took pride in everything she did. Liz was a successful business woman as Director of Sales in the educational books/materials market.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff/friends of Pebble Creek Healthcare Center, where she received the best possible attention and care. Also, we would like to thank Serenity Hospice Care for helping Liz in her final days/hours of need.
Per Liz’s wishes, there will be no services. She has courageously chosen to be a participant in the Cleveland Clinic Body Donation program, so that others may benefit from her final, unselfish act. Liz will forever live in our hearts.
